Utah Code Section 30-3-18 now provides for a shortened waiting period for a divorce to become final. If your divorce was filed after May 8, 2018, then you only need to wait 30 days from the date the Petition for Divorce is filed in order for the divorce to become final. For divorces filed before May 8th, 2018, the 90 day waiting period still applies.
