Who must provide workers compensation coverage?

Utah law requires all employers to carry workers compensation insurance, except for real estate brokers, insurance agents, sole proprietorships or partnerships with no other employees, and certain agricultural and domestic workers. A company may use public insurance or private insurance or be self-insured.
